Billing Guidlines
RESIDENT: As a Huntley Fire Protection District Resident, we will ask for insurance or obtain through various sources and submit to your insurance on your behalf. If we were unable to obtain insurance information, we will send out a request or phone call in which to obtain such information so we can process the bill for you. You will not be responsible for any balance, deductible or co-pay after insurance has paid. If for any reason you do not have insurance, the ambulance bill will be written off due to the fact you reside in the HFPD boundaries.
NON-RESIDENT: As a Non-Resident of the HFPD we will bill you for the services in which was given to you. We will ask for insurance, get it through the hospital or other sources, if not, we will contact you for this information so we can process the bill on your behalf. Once we obtain this information we will submit the bill to your insurance company and any balance, deductible or co-pay thereafter will be your responsibility. We will follow up with you so you can make payment for the remainder of the balance. If you do not have insurance, you are still responsible for the bill for the use of our services. If for any reason this does NOT get paid or set up on a payment plan, we do pursue non-residents in the form of a collection agency to tie up this bill.
